These 100% new French oak barrels are selected by winemaker Leo Tellez. Ackerman Familys 11-acre Stonehaven Vineyard is a story of a devotion to creating a singular expression of one special piece of land for more than 25 years. Stonehaven is the first certified organic vineyard in the Coombsville nested sub-appellation and has a biodiverse organic farm with vegetable and flower gardens, hawk habitats and natural cover crops enriching the vineyard estate.
Undulating vineyard rows, volcanic soils, gentle sloping and southeastern exposures create complexity and lushness within the esteemed Ackerman Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon year after year.
Coombsvilles cooler climate and unique geography creates wines with a distinct and elegant style, truly built to be enjoyed now or years from now. The winemaking process deftly manages moderate tannins into a silky mouthfeel that supports blueberry, rich leather, cocoa and cassis tones. This wine is made from organically farmed grapes and is bottled unfiltered. Ackerman Family Vineyards tasting salon, The Aviary, is in downtown Napa at the Ackerman Heritage House, a restored 1889 Victorian Estate turned into an exceptional luxury event space with culinary, wine and historic experiences.
