Single malt Japanese whisky produced by Eigashima Shuzo in Akashi, Japan. Distilled from 100% lightly peated barley in copper pot stills. Aged 5 years in ex-Pedro Ximnez sherry casks; finished in Oloroso sherry casks.
An enticing nose of black cherries, dried apricot, and walnut skin leads to a palate of salted caramel, fig, waffles, and bittersweet chocolate 50% ABV. Eigashima Shuzos Akashi Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky is a limited annual release from Japans oldest whisky distillery.
