The Arette Reposado is one of our absolute favorite tequilas. Here’s why: it smells like fresh agave, despite the barrel aging, which only adds baking spices to the background of the bouquet. It is simultaneously graceful, yet spicy upon the first sip. It balances the bridge between smooth sipper and bright shooter like no other tequila I’ve tasted. The Arette is not new world, over-oaked, viscous monster like some other highly-touted tequilas I’ve tasted. It is subtle and beautiful, and it never gets old. We will always have a bottle in the home bar perfect for post-carnitas tacos indulgence and we can’t recommend it highly enough.
