Ayala Champagne Brut Majeur is the flagship non-vintage Brut of the Ayala house light gold with abundant fine bubbles, showing citrus, flowers, and white fruits on an open and expressive nose, with a balanced palate that combines freshness and vinosity and a long, precise finish.
Founded in 1860 by Edmond de Ayala, Ayala was one of the 18 founding members of the Grandes Marques de Champagne syndicate in 1882 and went through a golden age in the 1920s and 1930s as one of the 10 largest houses in Champagne. Once known as the sleeping beauty of Champagne, the house re-ascended after being purchased by the Bollinger group in 2005. Based in the village of A, the style emphasizes a large Chardonnay component and low dosage. Wines are crafted by cellar master Caroline Latrive.
