Barrell Craft Spirits is a Louisville, Kentucky non-distiller producer known for sourcing exceptional barrels of whiskey and rum and bottling them at cask strength with full provenance transparency.
Fourteen years is exceptional for rum most commercial aged rum releases top out at 1215 years, and the tropical climate of Jamaica means aging is faster than in cooler climates. The tropical warehouse conditions produce rapid extraction and greater angels share loss per year than Kentucky bourbon aging, meaning a 14-year Jamaican rum has experienced significant concentration. At cask strength, none of that concentration is diluted before bottling.
