Bollingers Special Cuve is the most widely available expression of the houses distinctive style. The Bollinger fundamentals: 405 acres of mostly Grand and Premier cru vineyards providing two-thirds of the houses needs; 60%+ Pinot Noir across every cuve; the only remaining cooperage in Champagne with 3,000 oak barrels for base-wine fermentation; reserve wines aged in magnum bottles for non-vintage blending; and all vintage bottles aged under natural cork, hand-riddled and hand-disgorged. The on-screen association with James Bond goes back to 1973.
