The Bols family began producing liqueurs in a small Amsterdam distillery called ‘t Lootsje. Lucas Bols later became a shareholder in the Dutch East India Company, gaining first pick of exotic herbs and spices that shaped over 300 liqueur and spirit recipes a legacy that continues today.
