Boone County Distilling Co. revived the name and legacy in 2015 in Burlington, Kentucky, under the motto “Made by Ghosts” a reference to the distillers of the past whose traditions inform the current program. The 1833 designation honors the original distillery’s founding year, making it the brand heritage expression. At 12 years, the additional maturity versus the 10 Year delivers deeper oak integration and darker fruit character from the same MGP-sourced high-rye mashbill foundation.
