Second Growth Bordeaux. Classified in 1855, this Chateau has been run by seven generations of the Barton family. In 1983, Anthony Barton, the present owner, was given the property by his uncle Ronald Barton. Anthony Barton’s daughter Lilian Barton Sartorius now helps her father in managing the estate. Together, they maintain the traditional methods but produce wine that has skyrocketed the stature of this 2nd Growth and once again in 2016, this wine has over achieved in a big way. This 2016 is a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Merlot.
