Owned and run by the Todeschini family since 1952, brothers Karl and Yann, grandchildren of the original owners, assumed responsibility for production at Chteau Mangot in 2008. With a recent focus on the development of their 34 hectares of vines their wines are well worthy of exploration. Situated between near the village of Saint-tienne-de-Lisse at the eastern end of St-milion the area’s clay-limestone soils are good for producing full, intense wines with a good minerality.

Bursting from the glass with notes of plus, sweet red berries and hints of licorice, the 2019 Mangot is medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with beautifully powdery tannins and a succulent core of fruit.
