We have anxiously anticipated this wine from Stephanie & Julien since we began importing their wine two years ago. Their production hasnt grown since they acquired their second parcel, so its been a give-and-take to bring it to life. The give is 850 bottles of 2018 Cteaux Champenois, while the take is from Cuve Connigis, which will now be even less available than it has been previously. After the most from Cuve Connigis is racked into a bottle for secondary fermentation, a portion is left in tonneaux for an extra ten months. The extra time in wood brings just enough finesse to balance the natural electrical charge of this Cteaux Champenois while maintaining impeccable balance.
