Calvados is the AOC apple (and in some sub-appellations, pear) brandy of Normandy, France. The Drouin Slection sits in the Calvados AOC category and is built around column-still distillation and the Domfront regions pear-and-apple mix, distinct from the more traditional Pays dAuge pot still expressions. Excellent in classic cocktails calling for Calvados (Jack Rose, Normandy 75) where the lighter, fresher fruit character carries through mixers.
