Where the 2017 Four Grain draws on barrels from the 2017 distillation season, the 2018 batch reflects a different seasonal set of barrels subtle differences in grain sourcing, fermentation conditions, and barrel placement producing year-over-year variation within the same program template. The four-grain mash bill (corn, rye, wheat, malted barley) and BiB bottling are consistent across both vintages; the distinction is in how Buffalo Traces 2018 production season expressed itself through the Four Grain framework.
