Aromas of orange zest, yellow stone fruit, light spice. Medium-bodied, with notes of red fruit. Hand-harvested. Pressed full cluster; fermented on indigneous yeasts in older French oak barrels. Aged for one year in barrel. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 50+ year-old vines. Clos Saint-Jean sits at the top of the slope between 780 and 840 feet in altitude, facing east. Historically the plot was highly prized for its red grapes; today its split between white and red. Soils are mixed, called by locals sol rouge, with iron-rich limestone marl and clay.

A rare white from sol rouge, this premier cru Clos Saint-Jean is sourced from grapes the estate purchases. Facing east at the top of the slope, Clos Sain-Jean delivers a white Burgundy with a savory red-wine profile, with notes of red berries and yellow stone fruit, wonderfully mouth-filling and plush.
