Born into a family for which wine and viticulture were everything since 1490, Francois, after obtaining a master in law and business, came into the family business to manage the estates and properties of Chteau de la Tour in Clos de Vougeot and Domaine Pierre Labet in Beaune.
Coming from a 300 year long history of ancestors in Beaune, one might question if being born in a chteau in the heart of Clos Vougeot, whether Labet has been overtaken by the land, or whether he owns it.
Franois Labet knows how to bring the notion of terroir alive and grant it what it should always be: an element of his freedom. Corsica gives Franois another opportunity to explore and give expression to Pinot Noir.
