This is a full-bodied robust Cab that drinks well upon release. I see this as the classic steakhouse Cab. Big bold fruit aromas on the nose – black currant and plum with a dusting of spice, herbs, and distant dash of vanilla. There’s plenty of satisfying red and black fruits on the palate with just enough tannic grip to keep it fun, fresh, and rigorous on the palate. Bravo Mount Veeder; you remind me of drinking Cabernet some 30 years ago.

Plenty of blueberry and chocolate aromas and flavors. Its full-bodied with round, fresh tannins. Lot of blue fruit and walnuts. Then crushed stones with the fruit at the finish. Flavorful, yet not overdone.

Medium to full-bodied, the palate is laden with energetic, crunchy blak fruit flavors, framed by ripe, fine-grained tannins and loads of freshness, finishing long and perfumed. What a bargan price for this classic Napa Cab beauty!

Another outstanding wine from this estate, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon offers up medium to full-bodied aromas and flavors of spiced plums, blackcurrants, new leather, incense, and tobacco. It’s nicely textured, has a balanced, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and, I suspect, the class to evolve nicely for 10-12 years.
