A blend of three grapes (both aromatic and non-aromatic), this acholado pisco is made from the first pressing of the three varietals (italia, moscatel and quebranta). Each bottle of La Diablada Pisco contains approximately 18 pounds of grapes. While this could be used in cocktails, La Diablada really shines as a sipping pisco.
Brandy distilled from grapes and produced in either Peru or Chile. In Peru, there are eight allowable grapes and in Chile, there are three. Peruvian Pisco, is distilled only once in a pot-still and no wood aging is allowed. Peruvian Pisco cannot have any alterations including dilution. Chilean Pisco can be distilled multiple times, can be aged, and can be diluted prior to bottling.
A very floral nose, with honeysuckle, jasmine, and orchid notes predominant with a background of lime peel, vanilla, and mango. The palate is lightly sweet and fruity with lime and mango, hints of coconut husk, and mamey sapote evident. More floral blossoms emerge, with just a touch of white pepper and clove before a soft, short finish.
