1.75 liters of LOUIS XIII. Up to 1,200 eaux-de-vie. 100 years in the making. The most extraordinary Cognac in the world, in the Magnum format.
LOUIS XIII is not produced the way other Cognacs are produced. Each decanter contains a blend of up to 1,200 individual eaux-de-vie grape-based spirits sourced exclusively from the Grande Champagne, the premier cru of the Cognac region some of which have been aging in Tieron oak casks for up to 100 years. The cellar master who assembles a batch of LOUIS XIII today is blending spirit that was distilled by a cellar master who has been dead for decades. It is, by design, a multi-generational work.
The Magnum presents 1.75 liters of this Cognac in a hand-crafted crystal decanter that is itself a collector’s object. The crystal is produced by Saint-Louis, one of France’s oldest crystal manufacturers, and each decanter features the fleur-de-lis stopper and the elegant proportions that have defined LOUIS XIII’s presentation since the brand was established by Rmy Martin in 1874.
At $12,499 for 1.75 liters, this is not a purchase it is an acquisition. It belongs in significant collections, significant occasions, and rooms where it will be appreciated for what it represents: the longest, most patient process in the spirits world, delivered at the scale that only the Magnum makes possible.
LOUIS XIII ages exclusively in Tieron oak casks a specific size and type of barrel used only in the Grande Champagne region of Cognac. Rmy Martin maintains a library of these casks, some dating back centuries, and the interaction between the spirit and this specific wood over decades of maturation is central to LOUIS XIII’s character. The casks are never replaced they are maintained, repaired, and passed down through generations of cellar masters.
Also available in the standard 750ml. Explore the full Rmy Martin collection or browse all Cognac at Wooden Cork.
