The XO Jamaica is Mezan’s showcase of the Jamaican style in blended form: their master blender selected rums from multiple Jamaican distilleries, calibrating the ester content (the source of Jamaican funk and tropical fruit character) and age of each component to achieve a profile where the pungency and tropical flavors of Jamaican rum appear at their best without a single still’s character overwhelming the others.
