The PHC 13th Edition is the only rye whiskey in the Parker’s Heritage Collection’s history as of this release a significant departure from the program’s standard Kentucky straight bourbon format. The Heavy Char designation explains the production approach: heavily charred barrels drive the spirit deeper into the wood than standard char levels, extracting hemicellulose-derived caramel and spice that standard char cannot reach, intensifying the rye’s natural spice character. 75 barrels for the entire release. Bottled at 105 proof without chill filtration.
