Now called Stroma, the much loved whisky liqueur from Old Pulteney has been fully re-designed and bottled at a higher strength. Stroma originates from the Norse word meaning’island in the stream’. It also refers to the dangerous currents on the island’s shores, including the infamous’Swilkie’ whirlpool. Stroma is a careful blend of malt whiskies from Old Pulteney’s multi-award winning portfolio. Bottled at 35% ABV, its smooth, sweet taste has robust and rugged undertones and a warm and comforting finish. The expertise of Pulteney Distillery Manager Malcolm Waring lies at the heart of this fine liqueur which can be served neat or over ice. Every aspect of this latest release is designed to embody the intrigue, craft and history of Old Pulteney’s seafaring roots. Stroma’s unique 50cl bottle features an embossed image of crashing waves and it is packaged in striking black and gold – with a foil neck tag which includes the brand’s story and tasting notes.
