Tequila Volcn De Mi Tierra X.A (Extra Ages) is a blend of three aged tequila expressions Reposado, Aejo, and Extra-Aejo produced from 100% Blue Weber agave sourced exclusively from the Los Valles region in Jalisco on the slopes of the Tequila Volcano, born from a collaboration between LVMH and the Gallardo family, one of the most storied agave-growing families in the Jalisco highlands.
The X.A designation stands for Extra Ages indicating that multiple maturation categories are blended together to produce a final expression with more complexity than any single-age category achieves. The Reposado contributes the fresh oak and vanilla from its shorter barrel time; the Aejo adds dried fruit and caramel depth; the Extra-Aejo provides the concentrated complexity of extended aging. Los Valles agave, grown on volcanic soil on the slopes of the Tequila Volcano, produces a character with more mineral and terroir expression than agave from the Los Altos highlands the volcanic origin is explicitly in the brand name. The LVMH partnership brings international luxury positioning to the Gallardo family’s deep regional roots and agave expertise.
