Aberlour ABunadh Alba is the bourbon oak counterpart to the classic ABunadh where the original is matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry butts and bottled at cask strength with intense dark fruit and spice, the Alba uses first-fill American bourbon barrels to produce a lighter, honeyed, and more malt-forward single malt at natural cask strength without chill filtration.

Launched in 2019 to complement the original ABunadh program, the Alba strips out the sherry cask richness and lets the Aberlour distillery character and American oak do the work. The result is a cask strength Speyside expression defined by honeyed sweetness, ripe tropical fruit, and a clean vanilla warmth rather than the dried fruit and chocolate intensity of the standard ABunadh. Both expressions share the batch release format and natural cask strength bottling the ABV on the Alba varies batch to batch, typically landing between 58% and 62%.
