One of the greatest last generation Rioja reds, Cirsion was born in 1995, when in Roda wineries they perceived a very different character in some of the oldest vines in the vineyard: more vinous sensations, volume, complexity … After years of tests and studies , the team led by Agustn Santolaya concluded that the difference lies in the level of polymerization of tannins in the grape itself, which plays a substitute role for aging.That is why the winery decided to produce the fruit of these strains separately, giving rise to this wine.Contrary to what happens with other “superriojans”, which abound in concentration and power, Cirsion seeks excellence in elegance and complexity, and in a fineness and aromatic richness that is revealed even when the wine is young.
