Monte Alban is double-distilled following methods rooted in centuries-old Oaxacan tradition. It pours a pale straw hue and opens with pungent spice, wood, and mineral aromas. The start is rounded and supple, the body smooth and medium-weight, closing on an exotically peppery finish an earthy, complex mezcal.
It is enjoyed neat in the traditional way, or as a smoky base in an agave-forward cocktail.
